What We Measure

In addition to learning about how to support schools in multiple contexts through redesign, we are paying attention to the following:

  • Instructional program has shifted to be more asset-based and student-driven
  • Trust among all stakeholders is an organizing factor
  • Students are connecting to the community beyond the walls of school through real-world learning opportunities
  • Students are presenting their learning in authentic and public ways
  • Transparency about content, practices, and support leading to and sustaining redesign
  • Adults feel like they’re part of a community and engaged in decision-making
  • Students feel known
  • Application of an equity lens to all instructional practices and experiences
  • Pathways and post-high school pathways are clear and articulated
  • Development of socio-emotional learning competencies (non-cognitive variables)
